On October 25, 2026 our feed held 114 live listings that require Spanish, from 14 platforms. 57 state an hourly rate in the feed, and 33 of those are Meridial's. Spanish is split into regional varieties, platforms pay in several different units, and the same language pays very differently in Spain, Latin America and the United States. Every number comes from the listings.

Which Spanish do they want?

Counting the countries that listings name, Mexico comes first with 17, then Spain with 13, Argentina and the United States with 11 each, Colombia with 9, Peru with 8, Costa Rica and Chile with 5 each and Honduras with 3. 40 listings state no country restriction. Meridial has 10 regional language roles (Caribbean, Rioplatense for Argentina and Uruguay, Andean for Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, Mexico and Chile, two each) plus a Latin America and a Spain language specialist. Mercor's voice roles come in four versions: Mexico, Latin America, Peru and Peninsular Spanish. CrowdGen's recording projects name Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Mexico and Costa Rica. Our Mexico, Spain and Argentina pages list the roles that name each country.

The kinds of Spanish work

Professionals who speak Spanish

The best-paid group is Mercor's six Spain-based expert roles: STEM at $50, consulting and human resources at $60, finance at $65, legal at $85 and medical at $120 an hour. You build realistic digital workspaces, write the tasks a colleague or client would send in Spanish, define the grading criteria and review an AI agent's step-by-step work for mistakes such as wrong local rules. They are remote and hourly, about 21 hours a week, in a pilot running October 23 to November 19, and ask for a degree from a recognized institution in Spain and knowledge of Spanish practice. The finance role, for example, names PGC and IFRS, CNMV regulation and Spanish tax filings.

Mercor's Spanish Tutors role ($60 to $65 an hour) is for recorded one-on-one lessons of at least 20 minutes with native English-speaking learners, and asks for three years of teaching or tutoring.micro1 lists a bilingual Spanish benefits counselor at $35 to $50 and a Spanish-language consumer reviewer at $20 to $30, both without descriptions. Meridial has 17 domain specialists: coding, mathematics and LaTeX roles for Latin America (four each) and coding, science, LaTeX, STEM and mathematics roles for Spain, at a stated range of $6 or $8 up to $65. It also lists a bilingual customer support agent in Colombia at $5 an hour on US Eastern time, which is a fixed-hours support job rather than model training (see our customer support guide).

Rating, evaluation and language work

SME Careers lists a Spanish Language Expert at up to $35 an hour and a team lead at up to $40, open to Mexico, Spain and the United States. Welo Data lists a Generative AI Analyst for the United States at $15 an hour and Ads Quality Raters in Mexico and Argentina at about $4 an hour. Turing lists an AI Quality Analyst at $15 an hour for 3 months, and Handshake AI wants Spanish speakers based in Mexico to share their experience using ChatGPT and rank AI responses, with no minimum hours. Welo Data also lists linguistic evaluators in Barcelona, patent and life-sciences linguists, and an interpreter role in Providence, Rhode Island, with no pay shown.

Voice, recording and conversation

Turing's studio voice-actor role is a fixed $200 per finished hour, after editing and mastering, for actors with 3+ years of professional recording experience, plus a one-time $20 onboarding fee. Babel Audio lists a Latin American Spanish voice actor at $60 to $150 per recorded hour, depending on your country, and a Spanish transcriber at up to $110 per audio hour transcribed.

CrowdGen has six “Record [country] Spanish” projects at $0.03 per completed unit, where you read 400 sentences aloud (if a unit is one sentence, a full set pays $12), and Melora phone-call recording at $1.50 per approved session in Argentina and $3.00 in Spain, with at least 4 sessions needed to be paid ($6 and $12). Common questions

Do I need to live in Spain or Latin America?

For many roles, yes. Mercor's voice roles name regions, CrowdGen names countries and Welo Data's raters must be based where they are listed. Others are open more widely, such as Babel Audio, Turing and AfterQuery.

Which platform should I try first?

If you are a professional in Spain, Mercor's expert roles. For flexible conversation tasks with no minimum hours, Prolific, though its feed states no rate. For breadth across regions, Meridial. Compare them on the pay report and see our bilingual speakers guide.
