On November 8, 2026 our feed held 36 live listings that require Hindi, from 9 platforms. 30 state an hourly rate in the feed, and 14 are Meridial's, of which 11 are limited to India. The rates that are stated outright run from $11 an hour on one Meridial listing to Meridial's $65 ceiling, with Turing at $15, and one recording project pays $2.40 to $6 in total. Every number below comes from the listings, and every rate is in US dollars.
Where the listings are open
Sixteen name India: Meridial's 11, SME Careers' 2, two from Welo Data and the Crowdgen recording project. Seventeen carry no country restriction: Meridial's audio and voice listings (3), Prolific (8), Mercor (3), and one each from Turing, micro1 and Babel Audio. Two Welo Data roles are on-site in Barcelona and one is for the US. Our India page lists the roles that name the country.
The kinds of Hindi work
Meridial's subject and language specialists
Meridial's 11 India-only listings are subject specialists and language specialists: Coding, LaTeX, Mathematics, STEM and Science specialists (most listed twice, once for Hindi and once for Hindi in Roman script), plus two Hindi Language Specialists. They state $6 or $8 up to $65 an hour, with the exact rate set after evaluating your experience, expertise and geographic location. Its three worldwide listings are a Hindi Audio Specialist at a stated $11 to $30.65 an hour and two Hindi Voice Actor roles at the $6 to $65 range.
Evaluating and training AI in Hindi
Prolific has eight "Advanced Hindi Fluency" listings whose titles name France, Germany, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the US. The text asks for fluent Hindi speakers from India to judge how well AI captures emotion, intonation and sentiment, and says researchers tend to pay up to $20 an hour, for paid tasks that can take an hour of uninterrupted work. Turing lists an AI Quality Analyst (Personalization) at $15 an hour for a 3-month engagement. SME Careers lists a Hindi Language Expert at up to $20 an hour and a Hindi Quality Assurance Lead at up to $25, both for India. micro1 lists a Hindi Bilingual Expert at $30 to $65 an hour with no description.
Mercor has three: Hindi Linguistic Experts at $30 an hour in the feed, a Bilingual Hindi Generalist Expert for AI safety work at $18 to $22 with South Asia preferred but not required, and a Music Production Expert for Hindi at $14 to $42. The text of the music role says it is paid hourly, about 20 hours a week with no cap, and the other two texts state no rate.
Recording, and Welo Data
Babel Audio lists a Hindi Voice Actor at $60 to $150 per recorded hour depending on your country. Crowdgen's Hindi voice recording project is for India: its title quotes $2.40 to $6 for completing 4 to 10 calls of one to two minutes each, and you need an iPhone 17 series phone, so it is not an hourly rate. Welo Data has five: the AI Trainers Network (a talent community, not an active opening), a Hindi Linguist in Gurgaon and two linguistic evaluator and tester roles on-site in Barcelona, none of which states a rate, and a Hindi Content Specialist for the US at $23 an hour on Pacific hours for 12 months.

The catches
- Most of Meridial's count is India only. Eleven of its 14 name India, so check the country before applying from elsewhere.
- Prolific's titles and text point to different places. The titles name eight countries, but the text asks for fluent Hindi speakers from India, so confirm eligibility on the listing.
- Ceilings are not offers. Meridial's $65 is the top of a range that starts at $6 or $8, and SME Careers publishes ceilings. Prolific's $20 is what researchers "tend to pay".
- Not every figure is hourly. Crowdgen's $2.40 to $6 is for a handful of short calls, and Babel Audio's $60 to $150 is per recorded hour, depending on your country.
- A talent community is not an opening. Welo Data's network says it will contact you when a project fits, and the pay is shared then.
- Some roles are not remote. Two Welo Data testers are on-site in Barcelona, and its content specialist is limited to the US and works Pacific hours.
