On November 2, 2026 our feed held 28 live listings that name Egypt, from 9 platforms. Ten are Meridial's, and 14 of the 28 need Arabic, but not all of them: there are also English-language developer, mathematics, physician and engineering roles. Pay ranges from a few dollars for a recording project to stated tops of $65 an hour. Every number comes from the listings, and every rate is in US dollars.
Where the listings come from
Meridial has 10, Mindrift 7, Welo Data 3, and SME Careers and Anyone AI 2 each. Mercor, Crowdgen, Alignerr and Rex have one each. These are the listings that name Egypt. More than 2,000 other listings state no country restriction, and are open to someone in Egypt too. Our Egypt page lists the ones that name the country.
The kinds of work
Arabic language and dialects
Meridial's Arabic roles are an Arabic Language Specialist, an Arabic (Egyptian) Language Expert, and Alexandrian and Bedawi dialect specialists. The Egyptian listing asks for specialists in phonetics, morphology, syntax and regional dialects who will converse with the model in Egyptian Arabic. SME Careers lists an Arabic Language Expert at up to $15 an hour and an Arabic Team Lead at up to $40 an hour. Welo Data has an AI Trainers Network listing for Arabic, which is a talent community and not an active opening, plus two patent linguist listings (Arabic to English and English to Arabic) based in Cairo that state no rate. Crowdgen's Arabic voice recording project asks you to record short one-sided phone calls in Arabic. It pays $0.50 per QA-approved session, with a minimum of 4 approved sessions to be paid ($2.00) and a cap of 10 ($5.00). For the language side across all countries, see our Arabic speakers guide.
Subject experts and developers
Meridial also has four subject specialists who are fluent in Arabic (Mathematics, Science, STEM and Coding), a German Language Specialist for an Android device project, and a Garment Manufacturing QC Specialist. Anyone AI has a Full-Stack Developer role at $45 to $80 an hour, an estimate, since the text says consultants are paid per project, and a Mathematics Expert at up to $40 an hour for 20 hours a week over two months. Mercor's listing is a paid expert interview for software engineers, $100 to $120 for 45 to 60 minutes.
Listings with no pay stated
Mindrift's 7 listings (3 physician roles and 4 CAD and CFD engineering roles) have no description and no pay in the feed, and four of them also name Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. Alignerr has an Economics Teacher listing in Cairo with neither, and Rex has a Generalist AI Trainer role open in 34 countries with pay described as market-range, based on experience, location and workload.
What the listings state
| Platform | Listings | What the listings state | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meridial | 10 | $6 or $8 up to $65/hr; $6 to $15 for garment QC | Rate set by experience and location |
| Mindrift | 7 | No pay in the feed | No description; physicians and engineers |
| Welo Data | 3 | No rate | One is a talent community, two are patent linguists |
| SME Careers | 2 | Up to $15 and up to $40/hr | Ceilings only |
| Anyone AI | 2 | $45 to $80, and up to $40/hr | Per-project pay; hourly figure is an estimate |
| Crowdgen | 1 | $0.50 per approved session ($2 to $5 in total) | Not an hourly rate |
| Mercor | 1 | $100 to $120 per interview | One-off, 45 to 60 minutes |
| Alignerr, Rex | 2 | No figure | One listing each |
The catches
- Ceilings are not offers. Meridial's $65 is the top of a range that starts at $6 or $8, and the text says the exact rate depends on your experience, expertise and geographic location. SME Careers publishes ceilings only, and its feed shows a floor of $0 on one listing, which is not a rate.
- Crowdgen's $2 to $5 is the total, not an hourly rate. It is $0.50 for each approved recording session, you must have 4 approved to be paid, and the project says it is first come, first served with demographic quotas.
- A talent community is not a job. Welo Data's Arabic network says it is not an active job opening, and that compensation is given when a project matches you. It lists 16 countries it recruits from.
- Hourly figures can be estimates. Anyone AI pays per project, and the $45 to $80 is based on anticipated completion time.
- A dozen of the 28 state no pay. Mindrift (7), Welo Data (3), Alignerr and Rex have no figure in the feed, so the rate is unknown until you apply.
