On October 17, 2026 our feed held 26 live listings that require Russian, from 7 platforms. 17 state an hourly rate in the feed, and 11 of those are Meridial's. It is a smaller market than French or Portuguese, and it has an unusual geography: none of the 26 listings names Russia as an eligible country.
This guide covers where the roles are open, what the work is and what each platform states. Every number comes from the listings.
Where the listings are open
The countries the listings name are Poland (7), Slovakia (4), Georgia (3) and Kazakhstan (3), then one each for Armenia, Estonia, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Spain and the United States. 8 listings state no country restriction. Meridial's 11 listings are for Poland (5), Slovakia (4) or worldwide (2). Our Poland and Slovakia pages list the roles that name each country.
The kinds of Russian work
Recording speech
CrowdGen's Project Morava has three listings, for Georgia, Poland and the United States. You read and record 150 short scripted prompts in Russian on a smartphone in about 2 hours, and are paid when the session is complete. The feed shows $15 (Georgia), $20 (Poland) and $25 (United States), but the text states no amount, and you must live in the named country. Its Melora project, for Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan, is smaller: short one-sided phone calls to an imaginary bank or retailer at $0.50 per approved session, with at least 4 approved sessions needed to be paid ($2.00), on a recent iPhone. Welo Data has a scripted audio project in Poland, and Babel Audio lists a Russian voice actor at $60 to $150 per recorded hour, depending on your country, and a Russian transcriber at up to $110 per audio hour transcribed. AfterQuery wants Russian-accented English speakers for a recording of about 15 minutes at $50 flat (the feed shows $30 an hour).
Evaluating and rating
SME Careers lists a Russian Language Expert at up to $25 an hour, open to Kazakhstan, and a Russian team lead at up to $30, open to several countries including Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Israel and Kazakhstan. Turing lists an AI Quality Analyst at $15 an hour for a 3-month engagement, and a Russian-language Business Analyst with no rate in the feed. Welo Data lists a Generative AI Analyst in Kazakhstan at $5 an hour for 2 weeks, a network listing in Georgia and a linguistic evaluator in Barcelona.
Subject experts who also speak Russian
Meridial's listings are 9 domain specialists (coding, LaTeX, mathematics and STEM, two each, and science, one), a Russian language specialist and a voice actor. They state a range of $6 or $8 up to $65 an hour, with the exact rate set after evaluating your experience, expertise and geographic location.

The catches
- You usually need to live in a named country. CrowdGen's Morava listings are for people in Georgia, Poland and the United States, and Melora for Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan.
- Ceilings are not offers. Meridial's $65 is the top of a range that starts at $6 or $8.
- Per audio hour is not per hour worked. Babel Audio's up to $110 is for each hour of audio you transcribe.
- Short engagements. Welo Data's Kazakhstan role is for 2 weeks, and Turing's analyst role is for 3 months.
- Check eligibility. 8 listings state no country restriction, but that does not guarantee you can be hired from where you live.
Common questions
Do I need to be a native Russian speaker?
CrowdGen's Melora project asks for a native Russian speaker, and Welo Data's audio project asks for fluent native or near-native speakers. Other listings state fluency.
Are there remote roles with no country limit?
Yes. Meridial has 2 worldwide listings, and Babel Audio, Turing and AfterQuery list remote roles. Eligibility still depends on your location, so confirm it on the listing.
Which platform should I try first?
For a task with a clear scope, CrowdGen's Morava or Welo Data's projects if you live in the named country. For subject-matter work, Meridial. Compare them on the pay report and see our bilingual speakers guide.
