Short version
We don't set any cookies of our own. The only cookies that touch your browser come from Google Analytics (for visitor counting), and the only browser storage we use is local storage for your saved-jobs list.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 with the gtag.js library (property G-YGS5GE8QQL). It sets the following first-party cookies on your browser:
_ga— distinguishes one visitor from another. Lifespan: 2 years._ga_YGS5GE8QQL— session identifier specific to our GA property. Lifespan: 2 years.
These cookies hold a random ID. They don't contain your name, email, or any identifier we know about. They're used to count unique visitors and de-duplicate sessions across page loads.
How to opt out
- Install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. It blocks GA on every site you visit.
- Enable your browser's tracker-protection. Firefox, Safari, and Brave block GA by default with their built-in privacy modes; Chrome requires an extension like uBlock Origin.
- Delete the cookies above via your browser's settings. They'll be re-created on your next visit unless you've also opted out.
Local storage (saved jobs)
When you click the bookmark icon on a job card, we add an entry to your browser's localStorage under the key saved-jobs-v1. The entry contains the job's ID, the outbound URL, and a timestamp. This data never leaves your device — there is no API call to our server when you save a job.
To clear: open the Saved tab, remove individual jobs by clicking the bookmark icon again, or wipe everything by clearing site data in your browser.
Third-party platforms
When you click an outbound link to a job platform (Mercor, micro1, LinkedIn, etc.), that destination sets its own cookies under its own domain. We have no control over and no visibility into those cookies. Their privacy and cookie policies apply.
What we don't use
- Advertising cookies
- Cross-site tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.)
- Heatmap / session-replay tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.)
- Affiliate tracking pixels
