Overview: Welo Data is seeking native German (Austrian)speakers to contribute to a global food delivery project. Your role will involve reviewing restaurant menu items written in German (Austrian) and classifying each one using a standardized taxonomy in Americanized English. This work will help enhance food category recognition across diverse markets. You will interpret menu items in German (Austrian) and select the closest matching English category label from a searchable dropdown. Strong English comprehension is essential for navigating the taxonomy accurately. What You Will Do: Read: Review each menu item's name, category, and description written in German (Austrian). Confirm: Check the item photo (if available) to verify the food type. Classify: Assign the most accurate Dish Label from an English-language taxonomy dropdown. You can use English keywords, such as "pasta" or "grilled chicken," for quick selection. Label: Select a Course Label in English (e.g., Appetizer, Main Course, Side Dish, Dessert, Beverage, Other). Add Notes: Provide a brief note for items that seem unclear, ambiguous, or unusual — no row should be left blank. Project Details: Start Date: ASAP Duration:1–2 hours total (up to 10 hours maximum) Job Type: Freelance Location: Remote (Austria) Language: German (Austrian) Pay Rate: $18.50/hour Requirements: Native German (Austrian) Speaker: Based in Austria. Strong English Comprehension: Confidently navigate and select from taxonomy options written in Americanized English. Local Food Knowledge: Familiarity with German (Austrian) restaurant menus and cuisine terminology. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using a web browser for structured tasks.
