Join Sovrano AI's electrical engineering expert network. This is a waitlist for future AI training projects, paid up to $150 an hour, and your application is not tied to a specific project. Apply once, complete a short AI interview about your field, and we contact you directly when a project matches your background. About the role AI labs need engineering checked by people who have built and debugged hardware. A model can derive a filter response on paper. Knowing why your board rings at 80 MHz takes an engineer who has chased it with a scope. This listing is a waitlist, not an open position. No project is attached to your application. Applying puts you in the network we draw from when an electrical engineering project opens. We ask for one thing: a short AI interview about your field, about 20 minutes, that you take once you have applied. We review applicants from time to time, check whether each profile fits the kind of projects we run, and reach out directly with the scope, hours and rate when there is a match. Timing depends on demand, so you may hear from us soon or only after a while, and we will not contact everyone on the list. You commit to nothing by applying. Work varies by project. Depending on the project you might write circuit, signals or power problems with worked solutions, review other engineers' work against a checklist, or grade AI answers on design and analysis. Hours, scope and rate are set per project and sent to you in writing before you start. On a project you write realistic electrical engineering tasks and the answer an experienced engineer would give, review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist, and evaluate AI answers for wrong analysis, unrealistic component choices and designs that would not survive a prototype. Reviewers check everything, and you are paid for approved work. Responsibilities Write realistic electrical engineering problems with the answer an experienced engineer would give Review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist and explain what is wrong and why Evaluate AI-generated analysis and designs for errors and unrealistic assumptions Document your reasoning, including the standards and datasheets you rely on Apply reviewer feedback and revise until the work is accepted Work from public or illustrative designs only, with nothing proprietary from an employer or client Requirements - Degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field, in progress or completed - Fluent written English - Reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work - Willing to complete a short AI interview - Willing to work without AI assistance where the project does not allow it Ideal qualifications A degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or a closely related field Hands-on design, test or debugging experience in at least one area Able to explain engineering reasoning in plain written English Nice to have Professional engineering licensure or chartership PCB or RF design experience Embedded or power electronics experience Prior work on an AI training or data platform
