Join Sovrano AI's accounting expert network. This is a waitlist for future AI training projects, paid up to $150 an hour, and your application is not tied to a specific project. Apply once, and we contact you directly when a project matches your background. There is nothing else to do on your side. About the role AI labs need accounting work that people who have closed books and filed returns would stand behind. A model can produce a plausible journal entry or a tidy VAT summary and still get the treatment wrong. Catching that takes someone who has done the work. This listing is a waitlist, not an open position. No project is attached to your application. Applying puts you in the network we draw from when a accounting project opens, and nothing is expected from you afterward. We review applicants from time to time, check whether each profile fits the kind of projects we run, and reach out directly with the scope, hours and rate when there is a match. Timing depends on demand, so you may hear from us soon or only after a while, and we will not contact everyone on the list. You commit to nothing by applying. Work varies by project. Depending on the project you might author accounting tasks and deliverables for a specific country's rules, review other accountants' work as a country reviewer, or evaluate AI output on treatment, tax and statutory reporting. Hours, scope, country and rate are set per project and sent to you in writing before you start. On a project you write realistic accounting tasks and the deliverable a practitioner would produce, review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist, and evaluate AI answers for errors in treatment, calculation and presentation. Reviewers check everything, and you are paid for approved work. Responsibilities Write realistic accounting tasks and the deliverables a practitioner would produce, such as reconciliations, consolidations, tax computations and filing workpapers Review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist and explain what is wrong and why Evaluate AI-generated accounting answers and correct errors in treatment, calculation and presentation Document your reasoning and cite the standard or rule behind it Apply reviewer feedback and revise until the work is accepted Work from public or illustrative figures only, with no client data. Requirements - Hands-on accounting experience - Fluent written English - Reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work - Willing to work without AI assistance where the project does not allow it Ideal qualifications Hands-on accounting experience in practice, industry or audit Working knowledge of at least one framework such as IFRS, US GAAP or a local GAAP Able to explain the reasoning behind a treatment and not only the answer Fluent written English. Nice to have A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ICAEW or a national equivalent Years of experience Statutory, tax, audit or consolidation depth Experience in more than one country's rules, or working fluency in another language Comfort building deliverables in Excel Prior work on an AI training or data platform.
