About this role

**Language Music Expert** Mercor is hiring music experts for a frontier generative-music AI lab, working in **various domains**. Here are the following that we’re looking for: Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Romanian, Swedish, Korean, Arabic Hebrew Telugu, Croatian Finnish, Haitian Creole, Slovak, Gujarati, Kazakh, Kyrgyz Manipuri/Meitei, Oromo, Pashto, Shona We're looking for someone with formal musical training or professional experience — a degree in music, or a few years working as a musician, composer, transcriber, engineer, or teacher. You should have a strong ear: the hardest part of the work is transcribing a melody by ear with relatively accurate pitch and rhythm, and recognizing key, tempo, and time signature. For **this project**, you also need strong fluency so you can accurately handle sung lyrics — including accents and less-clear delivery. This is a pilot at **2–5 hrs/week**, but it is very likely to expand, and high performers will be prioritized for the larger phases.
