Join Sovrano AI's physics expert network. This is a waitlist for future AI training projects, paid up to $150 an hour, and your application is not tied to a specific project. Apply once, complete a short AI interview about your field, and we contact you directly when a project matches your background. About the role AI labs need physics checked by people who have done the derivation themselves. A model can recite a result and the steps that lead to it. Noticing the dropped factor, or the approximation applied outside its range, takes a physicist. This listing is a waitlist, not an open position. No project is attached to your application. Applying puts you in the network we draw from when a physics project opens. We ask for one thing: a short AI interview about your field, about 20 minutes, that you take once you have applied. We review applicants from time to time, check whether each profile fits the kind of projects we run, and reach out directly with the scope, hours and rate when there is a match. Timing depends on demand, so you may hear from us soon or only after a while, and we will not contact everyone on the list. You commit to nothing by applying. Work varies by project. Depending on the project you might write problems with full worked solutions in your area, review other physicists' solutions against a checklist, or grade AI derivations and numerical answers. Hours, scope and rate are set per project and sent to you in writing before you start. On a project you write original physics problems and the solution a careful physicist would write, review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist, and evaluate AI answers for wrong assumptions, algebra slips and results that fail a sanity check. Reviewers check everything, and you are paid for approved work. Responsibilities Write original physics problems with complete worked solutions Review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist and explain what is wrong and why Evaluate AI-generated derivations and numerical answers for wrong assumptions and errors Document your reasoning, including the approximations you rely on and their limits Apply reviewer feedback and revise until the work is accepted Work from original or public material only Requirements - Degree in physics or a closely related field, in progress or completed - Fluent written English - Reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work - Willing to complete a short AI interview - Willing to work without AI assistance where the project does not allow it Ideal qualifications A degree in physics or a closely related field Comfortable with the mathematics behind your area Able to explain a derivation in clear written English Nice to have A graduate degree in physics Research or lab experience Teaching or tutoring experience Prior work on an AI training or data platform
