**Role Overview** Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage experienced insurance professionals across underwriting, claims, compliance, actuarial, and operations domains. Contributors will support the development of AI systems by translating real-world insurance workflows into structured, high-quality training data. This work involves documenting, reviewing, and validating domain-specific processes across personal and commercial lines. **Key Responsibilities** - Document end-to-end insurance workflows (e.g., underwriting, claims adjudication, policy servicing) - Review and refine AI-generated workflow transcripts for accuracy and completeness - Create structured examples reflecting real-world insurance decision-making - Validate outputs against industry standards and regulatory expectations - Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to improve workflow representations **Ideal Qualifications** - Commercial underwriting: 8+ years experience; CPCU or AU preferred - Personal lines underwriting: 6+ years experience; prior leadership exposure preferred - Claims processing & adjudication: 8+ years; AIC or SCLA preferred - Fraud & SIU: 6+ years; CFE certification preferred - Policy administration: 5+ years in insurance operations or policy services - Actuarial & pricing: 6+ years in P&C; FCAS or near-credentialed preferred - Regulatory compliance: 6+ years in insurance compliance or regulatory roles - Producer & distribution management: 5+ years in agency operations or distribution compliance - Submissions & broker processing: 4+ years in underwriting support or broker-facing roles - Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly articulate complex workflows **More About the Opportunity** - Work is structured around discrete workflow transcript deliverables - Opportunity to contribute across multiple insurance domains depending on expertise **Compensation & Contract Terms** - Compensation is structured per completed workflow transcript (treated as individual project-based tasks) **Application Process** - Submit a resume or summary of relevant insurance experience - Complete a short form detailing domain expertise and certifications - Selected applicants may complete a brief sample task - Follow-up typically provided within a few days **About Mercor** - Mercor is a talent marketplace connecting top experts with leading AI labs and research organizations - Backed by Benchmark, General Catalyst, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey - Thousands of professionals contribute to frontier AI projects across domains including law, research, engineering, and creative work
