**About the Role** Mercor is hiring experienced **Mechanical Engineers** to help evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this role, you'll evaluate AI-generated mechanical engineering content and workflows, leveraging your real-world expertise in designing tools, machines, and mechanical systems. **Key Responsibilities** - Evaluate AI-generated mechanical designs, technical drawings, system specifications, and other engineering artifacts for quality and accuracy. - Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on engineering rigor, design soundness, and specification precision. - Review mechanical engineering scenarios involving equipment design, system troubleshooting, and specification compliance and provide expert feedback. **Required Qualifications** - **4+ years** of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, or another closely related mechanical engineering role. - Experience designing, evaluating, or maintaining mechanical products, equipment, or systems, including interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. - Ability to commit **20+ hours per week**. - Strong written English communication skills. **Additional Information** - Start date: Immediate - Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks - Payment: task-based (payment upon first task approval). Experts who complete their first task within the required timeline will then be qualified to be paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
