About this role
Mercor is conducting a paid research study in collaboration with a leading AI research lab focused on how people navigate major professional transitions. We are seeking **experienced senior leaders in the United States, aged 45 or older**, who have held significant leadership responsibility and for whom the question of "what comes next" is currently relevant. Insights gathered will help inform the development of AI tools designed to support people through significant career and life transitions. ## Responsibilities Participants will be asked to: - Complete a structured ~20-minute online survey - Share perspectives on their leadership career, how they are thinking about their next chapter, and what support would be most valuable - Submit all responses within the given timeline ## Requirements - Aged **45 or older** - Have held a **senior leadership role** — for example CEO, founder or co-founder, C-suite executive, President or General Manager, managing partner or partner (including partner in a professional services firm), board chair or board member, senior nonprofit or public-sector leader, business owner with significant leadership responsibility, or an SVP-equivalent position - Currently in a **transition or pre-transition life phase** — for example starting to think about what comes next, expecting to transition out within a few years, recently transitioned out, stepped away by choice, exited due to circumstances outside your control, or semi-retired but still interested in meaningful work - The question of **"what comes next" is at least somewhat relevant** to you right now - Based in the **United States** - Able to independently complete a ~20-minute online survey Please note: this study is not a fit for those still actively building toward a senior role, those currently in a senior role with no transition planned, or those fully retired with no interest in a next chapter. ## Engagement Details - **Format:** Online survey - **Duration:** Approximately 20 minutes - **Compensation:** One-time payment upon successful verification of the submission - **Location:** Remote (United States) ## Why Participate - Contribute to research shaping how AI tools support people through major career transitions - Share your real-world experience leading organisations and navigating what comes next
