**About the Role** Mercor is hiring experienced **News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists** to help evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this role, you'll evaluate AI-generated news content and workflows, leveraging your real-world expertise in reporting, news analysis, and editorial judgment across print and broadcast media. **Key Responsibilities** - Evaluate AI-generated news stories, analyses, scripts, and other journalistic artifacts for quality and accuracy. - Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on reporting rigor, editorial soundness, and clarity of narration. - Review journalistic scenarios involving story selection, source evaluation, fact interpretation, and presentation choices and provide expert feedback. **Required Qualifications** - **4+ years** of experience as a Reporter, News Reporter, News Anchor, Staff Writer, Journalist, or another closely related news or journalism role. - Experience writing, narrating, or analyzing news stories, reviews, or commentary for print, broadcast, or other communications media. - Ability to commit **20+ hours per week**. - Strong written English communication skills. **Additional Information** - Start date: Immediate - Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks - Payment: task-based (payment upon first task approval). Experts who complete their first task within the required timeline will then be qualified to be paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
