**Role Overview** Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage technical accounting and SEC reporting specialists. You'll translate real technical-accounting and external-reporting work into structured, high-quality training data that teaches AI to reason through complex ASC judgments. **Focus Areas** Technical accounting & external / SEC reporting — with deep, hands-on exposure to the standards (ASC 606 revenue, 842 leases, 718 stock comp, 805 business combinations). **Key Responsibilities** - Design realistic scenarios from your work — technical accounting memos, technical accounting schedules, SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q), footnotes & disclosures, and applying new/complex ASC standards to transactions - Review and compare AI-generated technical outputs for standards-accurate conclusions and defensible support - Provide clear written feedback that improves how AI reasons about technical accounting - Collaborate asynchronously with the research team **Ideal Qualifications** - Big 4 or public-company technical accounting / SEC reporting background - Deep, hands-on ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805) — actual technical-accounting depth, not general audit experience - CPA - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Strong written communication and attention to detail **Application Process** - Submit a resume or a short summary of your technical accounting experience - Complete a short form on your practice area, specialties, and certifications - Selected applicants may complete a brief sample task
